Packers playing final season in Green Bay: Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb is on his second stint with Green Bay thanks to Aaron Rodgers advocating for him last summer. We saw Cobb decline before he left the first time and the years haven’t been any kinder to the veteran receiver.

Cobb will be an unrestricted free agent next year and there’s probably not a football reason to bring him back. The Packers drafted Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure–all of whom made the roster–this year and will likely select at least one more wide receiver next year. The cheaper replacements are there, not to mention guys with much higher ceilings than Cobb.
