The Green Bay Packers will pass the Bears with the most franchise wins in the NFL this year.

The Green Bay Packers will start the season with 782 franchise wins. Good for second all-time in the NFL. The Bears are first with 783.

If the Green Bay Packers win against Minnesota and the Bears lose to the 49ers in Week 1, the Green Bay Packers will have a chance to get win 784 against their rivals at Lambeau Field during Week 2.

No matter what happens in the first two weeks of the season, the Green Bay Packers should pass the Bears.

Chicago is staring another losing season in the face. That is just a reality when a team carries $50-plus million in dead cap space.

The national media narrative is the Chicago Bears will be one of the worst teams in the NFL. A former Bears offensive coordinator predicts the Bears offense is just as bad as the 2008 Detroit Lions.

Watching the Bears’ preseason games and reading all the reports coming out of camp, they should not be as bad as a team that went 0-16.

Also, the Bears play an easier schedule which is being overlooked by a lot of people. The Bears play the Houston Texans, New York Giants and Jets, the Washington Commanders, and the Atlanta Falcons. The toughest games on the Bears’ schedule are two games against the Green Bay Packers, at Buffalo, New England, and Dallas.

Also, Eberflus seems poised to have the Bears ready to fight for a full 60 minutes. Still, the Bears have a talent gap between them and the Green Bay Packers.

A 7-10 record is probably the best the Bears can hope to achieve.

Now if Justin Fields takes a monumental leap forward and the Bears stay healthy, there is an outside chance, with how the schedule shakes out, that the Bears could squeak out nine wins.

The worst case could be Fields’ struggles, the Bears are just riddled with injuries, and they finish with four or five wins.

One thing is for certain, the Bears are highly unlikely to make the playoffs. Bears fans will once again spend the postseason rooting for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to fail.
