The Green Bay Packers have always talked about their roster as a 69-player commitment, instead of a 53-man one. That was clear when they announced who made the roster with the combination of the 12 practice squad players we know.

General manager Brian Gutekunst chose to keep only two running backs on the roster–Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon–and will turn to the coaching staff to piece together a plan to ensure they have enough healthy players activated gameday.

We can draw four conclusions from the Green Bay Packers’ final 53-man roster and 16-man practice squad they put together.

That plan will include activating practice squad players Tyler Goodson and Patrick Taylor depending on the matchup (they can activate each practice squad player up to three times) and using Amari Rodgers in the backfield as well.

Here are three other conclusions we can draw from the Packers’ roster and practice squad, either through their actions or words.
