Bold prediction about Packers’ final 53-man roster: Keep only two running backs

The Packers have to make sacrifices at some positions if they are going to keep a high number of players elsewhere (a bit of a spoiler alert). One of those positions could be running back.

Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon will get 90 percent of the playing time, leaving a very small window of opportunity for a third running back. We’ve seen Amari Rodgers motioned into the backfield in preseason games and Kylin Hill is still on the PUP list. The Packers could waive both Tyler Goodson and Patrick Taylor with the hopes they’ll be able to get one or both onto their 16-man practice squad. That would give them some insurance until Hill returns.
