Underdogs to make Packers’ roster: Samori Toure

The Packers may not have great receivers on their roster, but they have decent depth. Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, Sammy Watkins and Romeo Doubs are locks for the position–giving them at least six wide receivers they’ll keep.

However, there’s a case to keep as many as eight guys at the position–a proposition that would be very difficult to figure out with the rest of the roster. Juwann Winfree has Aaron Rodgers’ vote of confidence while seventh-round pick Samori Toure has made a strong push to muddy the waters. Toure had a terrific preseason game against the Chiefs and flashed some potential to turn into a legit receiver down the road. Will it start with a roster spot or will Green Bay try to sneak him onto the practice squad?
