Packers on their last life: Ty Summers

Green Bay has upgraded their inside linebackers over the past two years and could force someone like Ty Summers from the team. The Packers weren’t satisfied with adding All-Pro De’Vondre Campbell last summer and doubled down by using their top draft pick this year on Quay Walker.

The duo promises to light up opponents this season and has pushed 2020 starter, Krys Barnes, down to third on the depth chart. Isaiah McDuffie has also stepped up his game and looks like he has the lead for the fourth inside linebacker spot. McDuffie is better on special teams than Summers, which isn’t a good sign considering Summers calling card has been his special team’s play. This could be the last call for Summers in Green Bay.
