Packers in danger of being cut: Akial Byers, DL

The Packers already have their top five defensive linemen set in Kenny Clark, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, TJ Slaton and Devonte Wyatt. The only mystery at the position is whether they’ll keep Jack Heflin as a sixth lineman or bolster their depth chart elsewhere.

That means it’s likely only a matter of time until they trim the fat further down the depth chart. Akial Byers didn’t suit up against the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay can probably survive without him in their third and final preseason game this week. That doesn’t bode well and means Byers could be one of the cuts coming by Tuesday.
