3 Packers in danger of being cut at second deadline
Although they don’t have to trim their roster down to 80 until Tuesday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers have already started the process. They released center Ty Clary and outside linebacker Chauncey Manac, bringing their roster down to 83 players.
At last week’s cut from 90 to 85, the Packers actually ended up cutting seven players and adding two more. Don’t count that out this time either, as general manager continues to tinker with his roster to find guys who can contribute at the bottom of the depth chart.
For now, let’s check out three players in danger of being cut ahead of the second deadline.

Green Bay already cut one center in Ty Clary and another one could be coming soon. Michael Menet didn’t play a lot against the Saints, a sign of things to come. His limited playing time also signals the Packers would be fine in their preseason finalé if they cut him now. The clock is ticking, the only question is when.
