Can Packers QB Jordan Love continue to progress?

There was a lot of discourse following Jordan Love’s performance against the San Francisco 49ers. But I think Andy Herman of Packer Report summed it up well by saying that what we saw from Love against the Niners was similar to his training camp performance up to that point–which was that it has been very up and down.

Without question, Love had shown progress from the last time that we saw him. As Matt LaFleur mentioned, his command in and out of the huddle and at the line of scrimmage was greatly improved. We also saw several pass plays where he trusted what he saw, hit the top of his drop, and let it rip. I can’t sit here and say that we would have seen that a year ago.

On the flip side, accuracy, especially on some of the “easier” completions, was still an issue, as was his decision-making at times.

This Friday against New Orleans, we need to continue to see progress. Can Love be more accurate with the football? Can he button up his decision-making?

If he can do that and couple it with the things that went well last Friday, I believe that we will see a solid performance from him.
