Packers we’d like to see more of: Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs has gotten the most hype of any Packers’ rookie so far. And rightfully so. He continues to get open, showing off a good combination of speed and route-running. He seemingly has at least one splash play in every game and/or practice.

However, the drops are quickly adding up. There have been reports about his drops throughout training camp and fans got to see it in the first preseason game as well when he let two balls thrown right to him hit the ground. He also dropped a beauty of a pass at the Packers’ joint practice against the Saints that should’ve gone for a touchdown.

We don’t have to either criticize Doubs or praise him–we can do both. I’m glad he’s stepping up and getting open on his routes AND I want more from him. He needs to step up and make the routine plays more routine. Otherwise I don’t know who will.
