Green Bay Packers OT: Zach Tom

Given that Zach Tom is a bit undersized for a typical NFL tackle, many draft analysts thought that he would be best suited along the interior — specifically center — at the NFL level. However, through 12 practices, we have seen Tom working with the first team offense at both tackle positions.

Behind strong technique and impressive athleticism, Tom has fared well working out in space on an island. Let’s see how he holds up in a live game.

Green Bay Packers WR: Romeo Doubs

I mean, how can I pick anyone else but Romeo Doubs? Doubs has been the star of training camp so far and will attempt to carry that momentum into the preseason.

What makes Doubs such an effective pass-catcher is his ability to line up from the slot or on the boundary and win at three levels of the football field–which is what he put on tape during his time at Nevada.

If Doubs can be a reliable target for Aaron Rodgers this season, it will open up so much more for this offense, including keeping Allen Lazard in the slot more often, where he has been very effective.

Green Bay Packers TE: Dominique Dafney

I feel that, for the most part, the Green Bay Packers’ tight end room is fairly set. We know that Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara, and, once healthy, Robert Tonyan will be on the team. I think it’s safe to put Tyler Davis into that group as well, given his usage in training camp along with the plays he’s made.

That potentially leaves Dominique Dafney on the outside looking in–although I wouldn’t write off the Packers keeping five tight ends on the roster. Of course, how Dafney fares on offense matters, but his path to making this team will be through special teams contributions.
