Playing football in front of a national audience (any sport, really) tends to draw criticism from fans and media alike. Many people love to point out an elite athlete’s downfalls from the comfort of their recliner while simultaneously stuffing their mouths with Doritos (We are not the same. I prefer to criticize while eating Cheez-Its, Extra Toasty ).

The instant videos and analyses available to fans today give us more access than ever before. Although this access to knowledge is mostly helpful, it can help to create a false sense of security about football knowledge. Here are four Green Bay Packers who could prove us and our bevy of information wrong in the 2022 NFL season.

These four members of the Green Bay Packers have the potential to overcome doubts and prove fans wrong in the 2022 NFL season.

Packers who will prove fans wrong: Zach Tom

The Packers have continued to reload their offensive line through the draft over the last few years, including selecting three more players at the position in 2022. Zach Tom was the second offensive lineman taken by Green Bay and the fifth overall, however, he might have the best chance to start among all the draft picks.

Green Bay desperately needs a couple of offensive linemen to step up with David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins on the PUP list and no timetable for their return. Tom has been getting some work with the first offensive line at right tackle and will have every opportunity in the preseason to earn the starting spot.
