Packers’ burning question: Does Amari Rodgers’ third-round status give him second dibs in the slot?

The Packers still have a lot to figure out the wide receiver depth chart, but listed Sammy Watkins and Allen Lazard as starters on the outside and Randall Cobb as the starter in the slot. It’s no surprise they’ve gone with their three veterans on the first depth chart, as the rookies still need more time to prove themselves.

As all of the positions get sorted out, it will be interesting to keep an eye on Amari Rodgers. He was seemingly handed offensive and special teams’ snaps to begin last season solely based on his third-round status. He quickly proved himself unworthy and was demoted to the bench. He’s being given another opportunity this year and is listed as the backup to Cobb in the slot. Rodgers is coming off a nice practice on Monday, but has a lot to prove.
