Packers making a strong case for roster spot: Dominique Dafney

With Robert Tonyan still recovering from an ACL tear and an unknown return date, another war is waging at the tight end position. Marcedes Lewis is a solid veteran who is one of the best blockers at his position in the NFL; Josiah Deguara gives them a fullback type, Tyler Davis a receiver, and Dafney is a little of both.

That combination is exactly what Matt LaFleur loves about Dafney, as he wants versatility in the position. Dafney has quietly had a strong camp that has catapulted him back into a roster spot. Some of this might depend on when Tonyan returns, but Dafney is off to a strong start.
