Almost no matter where you look, there are plenty of questions about the depth the Packers’ will sport this season. That has made and will continue to make for a competitive summer leading up to the initial roster deadline at the end of August.

Several roster battles are taking place on the Green Bay Packers, but these five players are making the strongest cases.
Packers making a strong case for roster spot: Jake Hanson
The Packers have re-tooled their offensive line over the last few years, adding a ton of talent through the draft. That included adding guard Jake Hanson in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Hanson has quietly worked his way into one of the starting offensive line combinations, with David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins on the PUP list. He’s lining up at right guard in between Josh Myers at center and Royce Newman at right tackle in one of the most used starting combinations so far in training camp. That development has moved him from a fringe roster player to a near-lock.
