Alarming development at Packers’ training camp: Dropped interceptions

Green Bay’s defense will carry a heavier load than ever before. They’ve flexed their muscles against the offense and dominated every practice since the first day. That’s to be expected and they’ll need more of that when the regular season begins.

However, one area they’ve struggled in has been catching the interception opportunities they’ve been given. It won’t be good enough for Green Bay to simply shut down opponents this season; they’ll need to force turnovers and give their offense a short field to work with. Other than Rasul Douglas, this team doesn’t have any proven ballhawks. That needs to change if this defense wants to be the elite unit they’re billed to be on paper.
