Packers with most to prove: Darnell Savage

Green Bay’s coaching staff has been high on Darnell Savage for years, but the former first-round pick has yet to live up to the full hype. Don’t get me wrong, he’s been solid for the Packers, always around the ball and flashing the skills that made the coaching staff fall in love with him.

Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to put it together for long stretches of time. He had a great second half to the 2020 season, but followed that up with a dud in 2021. He’ running out of excuses for mediocre play entering his fourth year in the NFL. It’s about time he puts up.
