Bold prediction for Packers’ positional groups: Tight ends
Tight end is another position impacted by 2021 injuries, as Robert Tonyan won’t be ready until later in the season. That leaves another massive hole to fill and one less pass-catcher for this offense.
Marcedes Lewis will be the starter and de-facto sixth offensive lineman. However, he doesn’t give Green Bay much in the passing game, leaving the need for Josiah Deguara or Tyler Davis to step up. The coaching staff believes in both guys, but Deguara, a former third-round pick, has never been able to get it going. Those struggles will continue as Davis will leap frog him on the depth chart and earn playing time alongside Lewis.
Bold Prediction: Tyler Davis earns TE2
