Bold prediction for Packers’ positional groups: Safeties

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Green Bay has two unquestioned starters in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage and a plethora of questions behind them on the depth chart. The difference here is Savage has some work to do of his own. He’s been up and down throughout his career and is coming off a 2021 campaign that wasn’t his best work. The Packers need him to improve to reach their full potential.

Behind them, I’m confident Shawn Davis can emerge as the clear third safety. He can fly around the field and make a difference as a deep safety. That should allow Amos and Savage to do some more roaming and occasionally line up in the slot.
