The start of the Green Bay Packers training camp is nearly here, so it’s almost the end of the offseason.

Green Bay has a lot of work to do despite sporting one of the NFL’s most complete roster. To fully prepare ourselves for the start of meaningful practices, let’s take a position-by-position look at the Packers and make one bold prediction for each of them.

Here is one bold prediction for each of the Green Bay Packers’ positional groups heading into the start of the 2022 training camp.

Bold prediction for Packers’ positional groups: Specialists

There have been and will continue to be a lot of changes to a special team’s unit that was the worst in the league last season. Mason Crosby returns with competition in Gabe Brkic, Pat O’Donnell is the new punter, and Jack Coco is in town to challenge incumbent Steven Wirtel as the team’s long snapper. Many fans expect Coco to overtake Wirtel (who struggled mightily last season), but that might be hard for a guy who never snapped in punt formation throughout his collegiate career.

Bold Prediction: Steven Wirtel retains long-snapper position
