Packers with a lot to prove: Josiah Deguara

Josiah Deguara suffered a season-ending injury in his rookie season before it could even get going and had a slow arrival in his second year. As a former third-round pick with many critics, he hasn’t been able to silence the haters due to his poor play. Tight ends usually take a couple of extra years to get going in the NFL due to the complexity of their position. We’ll see if that holds for Deguara, as Green Bay desperately needs someone to step up as a pass-catcher.

Packers with a lot to prove: Darnell Savage

Darnell Savage is an enigma. The coaching staff and his peers are very high on him and he’s shown flashes of great play throughout his career. He’s also disappeared for long periods and has been a liability. The Packers did exercise the player option for his fifth year so he’ll be under contract in Green Bay for two more seasons. However, he can earn himself a massive contract extension if he begins to live up to his potential.
