The Green Bay Packers have a lot riding on the line as a team heading into the 2022 NFL season, but a few players carry a heavier burden.

After winning 13 regular season games for three consecutive years and failing even to reach the Super Bowl, the window for a championship is closing in Titletown. The Packers need to act quickly if they want to capitalize on the moment and 2022 might be one of their last chances to do so.

While the team shares that responsibility, there are eight players with a lot riding on the line heading into this season.

Packers with a lot to prove: Mason Crosby

Mason Crosby had his worst season as a professional in 2021 and the frustrations were apparent at every turn. As a whole, the special teams unit struggled mightily and the field goal unit was at the center of that debacle. From the snap to the hold to the blocking, everything was volatile. It’s hard to tell how much blame should be assigned to Crosby, but he needs a bounceback year if he wants to ride off into the sunset as his career is ending.
