Although all seems quiet in the NFL world, it’s ready to explode in a few weeks when the Green Bay Packers kick off training camp at the end of July. Green Bay has their work cut out for them, as they must replace some key player’s from last year’s squad and try to improve internally to get back to the Super Bowl.

The media and fans were able to get a peek at players during Organized Team Activities and mandatory minicamp in June and are rightfully excited about the potential of a few key players. Let’s take a look at five players with significant hype surrounding them heading into training camp.

These five players on the Green Bay Packers have the most hype surrounding them heading into training camp later this month.

Packers with training camp hype: Shawn Davis

The Packers have their starting safeties figured out in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage. However, they like to employ multiple defensive backs on the field at the same time and could use a third safety to step up and prove worthy.

Shawn Davis showed off his athleticism earlier this summer and it’s easy to understand why the coaching staff is excited about him. With Green Bay trying to figure out their plan in the slot (Savage is a possibility to spend some time there), that could open up playing time for Davis. He’ll have every opportunity to capitalize once training camp begins.
