Realistic expectations for Packers: Win the Super Bowl

This isn’t a prediction that they will win the Super Bowl, rather, it’s putting it out there as a realistic expectation.

The Packers have mortgaged their future to maximize their current Super Bowl window (and there will be some ugly seasons ahead as a result). They may have lost some key playmakers this offseason, but they are as balanced as they’ve ever been in Rodgers’ tenure.

The defense has to play its part this season, there’s no doubt about that. They started hot last year before finishing very cold in the regular season and then having a dominant performance in the playoffs. They now have all of the pieces to be one of the best units in the league and there is no reason why that shouldn’t come to fruition. If the Packers can get average play out of their special teams and the offense to avoid laying an egg in the postseason, this expectation is extremely realistic.
