Realistic expectations for Packers: Top 3 passing defense

On the flip side of the coin (or the field), Green Bay will be hard-pressed to give up yards through the air. After ranking 10th in total opponent passing yards allowed, they should have no issue jumping into the top three this season.

The Packers will have Jaire Alexander back and fully healthy, one of the best cornerbacks in the game. He’ll join an established Rasul Douglas and rising second-year pro Eric Stokes at the cornerback position. Even if we don’t know who will line up where yet, that’s the best trio of corners in the entire NFL.

They also have great supplementary players in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage. The duo should be able to provide support against the pass, and Savage might even tinker with the slot a little bit. De’Vondre Campbell and Quay Walker will also help out with the backs and tight ends–leaving few opportunities for opposing quarterbacks.
