Realistic expectations for Packers: Bottom-half passing offense
I don’t mean to pile on with negative expectations (this is the last one, I promise), but these are realistic expectations to have for Green Bay in the upcoming season.
When I say passing offense I’m specifically referring to total passing yards. With Aaron Rodgers at the helm, Green Bay ranked eighth in this category in 2021 by throwing for a total of 4315 yards, a number that ranked eighth. The Packers are tasked with replacing 1983 of those yards with the losses of Adams and Valdes-Scantling alone. That’s a tall task that no combination of receivers is up for. Expect them to focus more on the running game and for their raw passing numbers to plummet.
