The Packers have some cap flexibility right now, but likely prefer to save that money for in-season expenses. However, there are other avenues they have to create room for another signing. And, although the free agent pool is mostly picked over, there are still a few players who could make an impact for the Packers in 2022.
Based on Green Bay’s current needs and who is remaining, here are the seven best players left in free agency.
If the Green Bay Packers want to dip their toes back into free agency, here are the seven best players remaining they could acquire.
Best remaining free agents for Packers: Will Fuller
I’ve been an advocate for bringing Will Fuller in since the offseason began. He’s a high-risk, high-reward signing, but would instantly have the best upside for the 2022 season of any wide receiver on the Packers’ roster. At his best, Fuller can run past defenses and is a proven elite deep threat. He’s been unable to stay on the field due to health and suspensions which is the most obvious risk.
