Candidates to fill Packers’ running back 3: Patrick Taylor

Patrick Taylor has to be the favorite to emerge as the Packers’ RB3 coming out of training camp and preseason, even if the primary reason is an injury to the next guy on this list.

Taylor has the most experience of the healthy backs after appearing in nine games for Green Bay last year and rushing 23 times for 89 yards and a touchdown. He had a mostly underwhelming season in this position (until a decent showing against the Detroit Lions in Week 17) which makes for the open competition. However, at 6-foot-3 and 223 pounds, he has a clear size advantage over the first two guys on this list and the NFL experience to back it up.
