There are a few position battles that will take place on the Green Bay Packers next month when training camp starts, and running back 3 will be amongst the most competitive.

Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon have the top two spots on the depth chart locked up, but head coach Matt LaFleur wants to have a capable third option on the roster. Green Bay added a couple of undrafted free agents at the position and they’ll have an opportunity to fight their way onto the roster coming out of preseason.

Let’s check out the four candidates who have a chance to earn the RB3 spot.

These four players will have the opportunity to earn the Green Bay Packers’ third running back position coming out of training camp.

Candidates to fill Packers’ running back 3: BJ Baylor

Baylor isn’t much of a dual-threat at running back, but is dangerous on the ground. He had a breakout 2021 campaign when he ran for 1337 yards and 13 touchdowns. Dillon and Jones should be able to cover for him through the air, if he can prove that he’s productive on the ground. He’s a long shot, but it’s an open competition if he can prove himself.
