Packers who are candidates to begin season on PUP: David Bakhtiari

This might be an odd candidate considering David Bakhtiari tore his ACL way back in December of 2020. Unfortunately, there’s been something weird going on with his recovery, as he failed to play last season (minus the first half of the season finalé against the Detroit Lions) and still wasn’t able to participate at all in mandatory minicamp, joining Hill, Jenkins and Tonyan in rehab.

LaFleur seems confident that Bakhtiari will be fully ready to return for the beginning of the 2022 season, but we heard him say that last year as well. When he’s healthy, he’s the best left tackle in the game which is why it’s so important to get him back and get him right. However, there have been weird vibes around this whole situation since the start of last year and there hasn’t been anything to change that feeling.
