Packers who are candidates to begin season on PUP: Elgton Jenkins

Elgton Jenkins is a huge piece to the Packers’ offensive line and embodies everything they value at the position. He works his tail off and can play just about anywhere up front–left tackle, left guard, right tackle–you name it.

Not only is he versatile as hell, but he is a stud at every single position. Jenkins has already proven himself as one of the best left guards in the NFL, but would be on the shortlist no matter which position he played. Truly.

Jenkins tore his ACL against the Vikings last November and will certainly need more time to recover. He didn’t participate in any of the offseason workout programs, obviously, and was fully engaged in the rehab portion instead. Green Bay will figure out the rest of their line while he’s out, but he’ll be an immediate plug and excel player when he’s ready to return.
