Packers: 5 best offseason additions in 2022
The Green Bay Packers aren’t usually a team who makes high-profile additions in the offseason, instead, choosing to steadily build through the draft while tweaking their team here and there. That tradition held true this year, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t add some players who will make an impact right away.
The Packers did a fantastic job of using their limited resources to retain key players and make some necessary additions to various parts of their roster. Let’s take a look at the five best players or coaches they added this offseason.
The Green Bay Packers made some big-time additions to their roster this offseason and here are their five best newcomers.
Packers’ best offseason additions: Rich Bisaccia
The Packers’ special teams has been abysmal, to say the least, over the last few years and head coach Matt LaFleur has tried just about everything to fix it. He’s now on his third coordinator in as many years, but this time he got a guy with a history of success.
Rich Bisaccia carries a lot of respect from his peers and players he coaches and was the interim head coach for the Raiders last year. He pays attention to even the smallest of details and holds his players accountable to every single one of them (like getting in and out of the huddle in a timely fashion). We’ll see if Green Bay contributes more starters to the cause, but Bisaccia alone should be a huge upgrade for this unit.
