Green Bay Packers Record Prediction Weeks 5-9

Week 5 v. New York Giants (London): Win (3-2)

The Green Bay Packers head across the pond for a Week 5 matchup with the Giants, where they will come away with the win. The Packers are simply the better team.

Week 6 v. New York Jets: Win (4-2)

No bye week for the Packers following their trip to London, and normally I would choose them to lose that next game in large part because of fatigue and less time to prepare. However, their Week 6 opponent is the Jets–so I do have the Packers winning this one.

Week 7 at Washington: Win (5-2)

This begins a very grueling stretch for the Packers, and my gut tells me to predict a loss here because you have to think that trip to London will catch up with them at some point, and this should be a very good Washington defense that gives the Green Bay offense issues. However, the gap in quarterback play is massive, so I’m banking on a good defensive performance from the Packers and Aaron Rodgers being Aaron Rodgers.

Week 8 at Buffalo: Loss (5-3)

A second straight trip out east, and technically the Packers’ third road game in four games if you count the trip to London–not to mention they are playing a very good Buffalo Bills team who is coming off their bye. All of which will be too much to overcome.

Week 9 at Detroit: Loss (5-4)

Yet another road game for the Packers. The Lions should be improved this season, and for whatever the reason may be, playing in Detroit the past few seasons has been a challenge for the Packers. We know that under Dan Campbell, this Lions team will be bringing the energy.
