Throughout General manager Brian Gutekunst’s tenure he has proven he will do whatever it takes to improve his team and give the Green Bay Packers the best opportunity to win a Super Bowl. Unlike his predecessor, he’s been aggressive in free agency and might have to do so again to push the team over the top.

When he first took over, he went on a signing spree and brought in Za’Darius Smith, Adrian Amos, Billy Turner and Preston Smith. All four players had huge roles in Green Bay and Amos and P. Smith are still with the team after the other two were cut this offseason. Last year, Gutekunst signed De’Vondre Campbell in June and Rasul Douglas in the middle of the season.

If he is going back to the free agency pool, here are five positions the Packers need help at the most.

If the Green Bay Packers decide to dip their toes back into the free agency pool, they should target any of these five positions.

Positions Packers should still target in free agency: Tight end

There’s no saying when Robert Tonyan will return this season and what type of player he’ll be when he does. Tonyan had a monster 2020 campaign before getting off to a slow start before suffering a major injury. Without him, Green Bay is left with Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara and Tyler Davis as their top options. They don’t exactly inspire confidence and Green Bay could use another quality player at the position.
