Disappointing Milwaukee Brewers’ hitters: Willy Adames

Willy Adames was a darkhorse MVP candidate down the stretch of last season thanks, in part, to his fun play at the plate. He finished 2021 batting .285 with an on-base percentage of .366 and 20 home runs.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t quite carried over into 2022 as he’s gotten off on the wrong foot during his first full season in Milwaukee. Adames was inconsistent in Tampa Bay which is part of the reason why they were okay trading him away. And those colors are showing this season, as he’s only batting .203 with an on-base percentage of .295 through 37 games.

He’s just 9-for-54 in May and June, but the good news is he’s hitting the ball as hard as ever, and if that’s any indication his luck should turn around soon.
