Packers who need to get off on right foot at minicamp: Sammy Watkins/Amari Rodgers

I put two players into one slide here, as it’s imperative both Sammy Watkins and Amari Rodgers start off hot, albeit, for very different reasons.

Watkins, the Packers’ huge free agent addition, wasn’t at the last round of Organized Team Activities and may have had LaFleur’s public ire directed at him. He has a relationship with the Packers’ wide receivers coach which should help him, but he’s gotta get onto the field and begin learning the playbook.

As for Rodgers, he had a horrible rookie campaign. He was basically handed return duties and some time in the slot, but quickly lost them because he was unable to prove he could hang in the NFL. It sounds as if he’s made some strides in the offseason and he’ll have every chance to earn his way back onto the field. Earned being the keyword.
