The Green Bay Packers will be looking for some big contributions from some unexpecting players if they are to finally capitalize on their Super Bowl opportunity this season.

As mandatory minicamp opens up on Tuesday, head coach Matt LaFleur isn’t messing around. His team has won 13 regular season games in each of his first three seasons, but has fallen short in the postseason each time. Coming off a disappointing playoff performance that prematurely ended their season, LaFleur and his staff are trying to figure out where they can make positive changes. That means these four players must ensure they start off on the right foot at minicamp.

These four players on the Green Bay Packers need to get off on the right foot at mandatory minicamp if they want to make their stamp on this season.

Packers who need to get off on right foot at minicamp: Steven Wirtel

Green Bay’s special teams was a disaster last season for a number of reasons. And one of the primary issues was the long snapper. Steven Wirtel took over mid-season but was shaky at best. He has competition this time around, as the Packers need to improve this area. Wirtel vs Jack Coco will be a heated battle to watch.
