6 Things to Watch for at Green Bay Packers Mandatory Minicamp
By Paul Bretl

Who is taking snaps at the Green Bay Packers slot CB position?
As good as this Green Bay Packers secondary can be, one big unknown is who is going to end up playing in the slot?
As I wrote about in a recent article, we know that Jaire Alexander will see snaps there, but even Brian Gutekunst would tell us that Alexander more than likely will move around depending on where the opponent’s top receiver is lined up. And when that happens, there is very little slot experience on this roster to fill in.
In that same article, I would speculate that we could see Eric Stokes in the slot against speed receivers while Rasul Douglas could take over against bigger pass-catchers, including tight ends. This summer, I also anticipate Keisean Nixon and Shemar Jean-Charles getting plenty of reps there as well, in an effort to see if they can provide Joe Barry with some snaps this season.
Once the regular season arrives, my guess is that there isn’t one specific player who is the slot cornerback, as there has been the last few seasons with Chandon Sullivan. Rather, I think it will be a by-committee role with several players contributing, and this summer is the time to find out who those players can be.
