Packers on thin ice entering mandatory minicamp: Patrick Taylor

Running back 3 figures to be another area of competition on the Packers’ depth chart. With Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon carved into the top spots, Patrick Taylor will battle with Kylin Hill, Tyler Goodson and BJ Baylor for the third spot.

Hill was impressive as a rookie last year before a knee injury sidelined him for the majority of the season. If he’s able to return before the start of this season, he’s likely the frontrunner for the position. If that’s the case, it’s hard to imagine the Packers keeping four running backs considering their needs at other positions. They’ll want one on their practice squad, but Taylor doesn’t want to spend another season there if he doesn’t have to.
