The Green Bay Packers have the ability to sign another player or two in free agency with the nearly $17 million they have in cap space following the second week of Organized Team Activities.

They’ll need some of that money for in-season business and flexibility, but it’s not unheard of for them to sign a free agent at this juncture–they just did so last year when they signed De’Vondre Campbell.

The remaining free agents are unsigned for one reason or another and have depressed value compared to what they were hoping for from the market at the onset of free agency in March. That should allow Green Bay to strike on a team-friendly deal if they so desire. Let’s check out five of the best remaining free agents that would be tremendous fits for the Packers.

The Packers have a very good starting duo at safety in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage, and Landon Collins might not be ready to accept a backup role quite yet. However, Collins would be a tremendous third safety and would receive decent playing time behind the Packers’ top two safeties. As of now, Green Bay has absolutely no depth at the position and Collins would immediately make that concern disappear.
