Will the Packers sign more free agents?

The Packers have created a little bit of wiggle room to sign a free agent if they so desire (and could create more by waiving Dean Lowry after June 1st). Will they strike gold two years in a row?

De’Vondre Campbell, who earned First-Team All-Pro honors for his work at inside linebacker for the Packers last year, wasn’t on the team at this time last year. It wasn’t until June 9th that the Packers signed him and he became their starting linebacker.

Green Bay has the flexibility to take that approach again and target a veteran free agent who has been devalued by the rest of the NFL. The Packers could offer him a one-year prove-it deal with the intent of getting rich on his next contract.
