How will the Packers recover from ACL injuries?

It’s safe to say the injury bug bit the Packers hard last year with a number of key players suffering long-term injuries. Among the guys whose recoveries we’re monitoring are Robert Tonyan, Elgton Jenkins, Kylin Hill and David Bakhtiari.

Bakhtiari suffered his way back in December of 2020 and was unable to make a full recovery last season. He did play in the first half against the Detroit Lions in the season finalé but wasn’t able to suit up for the postseason game. Another five-to-seven months of rehabilitation should do the trick and allow him to come back in full before the start of this season.

His mate on the left side of the line, Jenkins, won’t be so fortunate. He didn’t suffer his injury until November of 2021 and will likely be looking at a mid-season return at best.

Tonyan and Hill actually suffered their injuries in the same game–October 29th, 2021 against the Arizona Cardinals. Obviously, we’ll wait for official updates on all of these players, but speculation puts their return sometime after the first month of the regular season.
