Packers on their last leg: Randall Cobb
Randall Cobb was reacquired by Aaron Rodgers, er, I mean the Packers last summer as Rodgers and the team were trying to make amends following a difficult offseason.
Cobb was first drafted by Green Bay in the second round back in 2011 and was a nice player for them for his first eight years. He peaked in 2014 when he had 91 receptions for 1287 yards–the only year of his career with more than 1,000 receiving yards. He went downhill after that and spent two seasons in Texas playing for the Cowboys and then Texans before rejoining the Packers last summer.

Cobb wasn’t exactly a shot in the arm for the Packers’ offense and he finished 2022 with only 28 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. He took a pay cut this offseason to help the Packers with their salary cap issues and so the team would keep him. He’s also in the final year of his deal and Green Bay could move on from him if Amari Rodgers takes a step forward in year 2.
