The Green Bay Packers have intentionally put together a well-rounded squad this season that should be able to win games in myriad ways.

Still, they have some glaring weaknesses that they were unable to address and will be major problems heading into this season unless someone emerges. Let’s take a look at their three biggest holes heading into the summer.

Despite having a well-rounded team this season, the Green Bay Packers still have some major needs at some big-time positions.

Packers Weakest Positions: Tight End

There’s a path to the tight end position being a lot better than expected, but that depends on a lot of “what if” scenarios and player development. Robert Tonyan will be returning from injury and Green Bay is hoping he’ll be the 2020 version of himself instead of the guy who showed up in 2021 before his injury. It would be a huge boost if he can return to his pre-injury self.

There are still plenty of questions behind him on the depth chart. Marcedes Lewis is returning yet again–he’s a reliable blocker, but brings almost nothing to the passing game. Will Tyler Davis, Dominique Dafney or Josiah Deguara emerge as guys the Packers can trust? If any of them can take that next step in their game, it will be a huge boost to the offense.
