Packers depth chart at every position following 2022 NFL Draft
Left inside linebacker: De’Vondre Campbell, Ty Summers, Tariq Carpenter, Isaiah McDuffie, Caliph Brice
Right inside linebacker: Quay Walker, Krys Barnes, Ray Wilborn, Ellis Brooks
The Packers used their top pick on Quay Walker and it will be interesting to see how they use him this season. He should have no issue earning a spot as the starting inside linebacker next to Campbell if that’s the direction Green Bay goes with their defense.
Strongside linebacker: Rashan Gary, Kinglsey Enagbare, Jonathan Garvin, Ladarius Hamilton, Kobe Jones
Weakside linebacker: Preston Smith, Tipa Galeai, Randy Ramsey, Chauncey Manac
Outside of Gary and Smith, there are a ton of question marks at this position. With no other proven guys on their roster, don’t be surprised if an addition is made at some point before or during the season. If not, expect a battle all the way to the end.
Right cornerback: Jaire Alexander, Shemar Jean Charles, Keisean Nixon, Innis Gaines
Left cornerback: Eric Stokes, Rasul Douglas, Kiondre Thomas, Kabian Ento, Raleigh Texada
Similar to outside linebacker, the Packers have very little depth outside of their starters. Green Bay sports the best trio of corners in the NFL, but very little after that. They’ll need someone to rise to the challenge and win the dime cornerback position.
Strong safety: Adrian Amos, Vernon Scott
Free safety: Darnell Savage, Shawn Davis, Tre Sterling
Same thing. Amos and Savage are locked in as the starting safeties and there are major question marks behind them.
Punter: Pat O’Donnell
Kicker: Mason Crosby, JJ Molson, Dominik Eberle
Long snapper: Steven Wirtel
We’ll see how the specialist positions playout for the Packers this season O’Donnell is a step back at the punter position. Crosby has some competition but is fully expected to be the kicker once again. Wirtel needs to prove himself after all the issues at long-snapper last season.
