Do the Green Bay Packers have enough depth at edge rusher?

My initial thought is still no, even with adding Kingsley Enagbare on Day 3–which could be one of the best value selections of the entire draft.

OLB Coach Jason Rebrovich mentioned that he wanted a rotation of four edge rushers. We know Preston Smith and Rashan Gary will be the primary two, but the remaining two spots are up for grabs. On top of that, whoever those rotational snaps go to, it’s going to be important that Green Bay get a bigger impact from them than they did a season ago.

Without Smith or Gary on the field, there was a lack of impact plays against the pass and issues against the run. Enagbare could provide some help in those obvious passing situations while hopefully, Jonathan Garvin and Tipa Galeai can continue to progress, not to mention that Randy Ramsey will also be healthy.

However, say those things happen, I still have some concerns about that secondary edge rush unit against the run–which is still an important part of their job.

I mentioned earlier that I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Green Bay Packers bring in a free agent or two, and if I had to guess right now on the position, I would choose edge rusher. It’s one of the most important positions in football and a heavily rotated one, which only emphasizes the importance of having quality depth.
