The Green Bay Packers have a franchise-altering event staring them in the face next week when the 2022 NFL Draft kicks off.

Green Bay has a surplus of draft capital to address the talent they’ve lost so far this offseason–whether that means using their five picks in the first two days on draft talent or shipping some of it away to acquire proven veterans. They’ll need to hit on a majority of their moves if they want to stay in title contention. In order to do so, they might need to get bold, and here are five bold predictions for their draft.

Here are five bold predictions about what the Green Bay Packers will do in the unpredictable, critical and upcoming 2022 NFL Draft.

Bold prediction for Packers in NFL Draft: Draft two more offensive linemen on Day 3

The Packers have been adding quality offensive linemen through the draft for years now and they’ve built a very good group as a result. They grabbed three each in 2021 and 2020 and I expect them to select two more on Day three this year.

The Packers released Billy Turner and haven’t re-signed Dennis Kelly. That leaves them a man or two short at offensive tackle, especially when you consider David Bakhtiari’s injury. I fully expect them to draft someone who can play either left or right tackle as well as another offensive lineman to improve their depth.
