Green Bay Packers Mock Drafts No. 6 & 7

Pick 22: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
Pick 28: Devonte Wyatt, IDL, Georgia
Thoughts: Look, Dotson’s tape is very impressive, as is his production, but his size and athletic testing just do not scream Green Bay Packer based on the team’s draft history.
Wyatt will immediately join the defensive line rotation and should provide a needed boost against the run. He also possesses pass-rush upside with his athleticism. With another option in A or B gaps, Joe Barry should have more flexibility to move Kenny Clark around.

Pick 22: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
Pick 28: Trevor Penning, OT, UNI
Pick 53: Drake Jackson, Edge, USC
Pick 59: Perrion Winfrey, IDL, Oklahoma
Thoughts: I feel like this draft is loaded with value, and I addressed some major needs. I didn’t have to trade up to select Olave, Penning fell to me at pick 28, and Perrion Winfrey was still available at pick 59.
Olave provides that go-to boundary option, as mentioned previously. Penning will bolster the offensive tackle depth and compete for playing time. Drake Jackson provides a pass-rushing boost at a key position, while Winfrey also provides a needed pass-rush presence, but from the interior–after all, the name of the game is getting after the quarterback.
