The Green Bay Packers desperately need to add talent to their wide receiver position if they want to make their goal of another Super Bowl title a reality. And fortunately for them, there are a number of high-profile receivers who would immediately do just that.

It’s very unlikely they actually pull the trigger on such a deal. Any trade for the big name guys reportedly available would cost assets, money via an extension, and require both the Packers and the other team to play ball. However, Green Bay has extra first and second round picks after trading away Davante Adams earlier this offseason that they could use in any deal.

Here are four wide receivers who would immediately squash our worries about the current state of the Packers’ wide receivers.

If the Green Bay Packers had their wish, they would love to trade for any of these four wide receivers reportedly available.

Wide receivers Packers would love to trade for: Terry McLaurin

At first glance, Terry McLaurin might appear to be the black sheep of this group. However, it’s important we don’t overlook him, as he’s been extremely productive during his first three NFL seasons and is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons with whomever Washington has thrown out there at quarterback.

Washington feels like they are just a quarterback away from competing so it’s unlikely they would entertain a trade for their stud receiver. Nonetheless, he’d be a great fit on the Packers and their instant no.1 wideout.

Wide receivers Packers would love to trade for: D.K. Metcalf

The Seattle Seahawks are in a bit of a different position than Washington. They just traded away star quarterback Russell Wilson and could be heading into a rebuild. If that’s the case, they might want to unload D.K. Metcalf instead of agreeing to the monster contract extension he’s looking for.

Metcalf has one year left on his contract, meaning the Packers would need to create room for an extension if they were to trade for him. He’d be the deep threat they desperately need and would instantly strike fear into the heart of opposing secondaries–something they don’t currently have.

Wide receivers Packers would love to trade for: Deebo Samuel

Deebo Samuel has officially requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers. It’s unlikely the 49ers would trade him to a team in the Packers who will continue to be a playoff competitor, but we can still dream.

Matt LaFleur learned under 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan and could use Samuel in many of the same ways (even if Samuel wants to become a true wide receiver). Samuel is coming off an All-Pro season and wants to be paid like one.

Wide receivers Packers would love to trade for: A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown has quietly flown under the radar as a player who is disgruntled with his current contract. He wants a major pay raise and to be paid like the elite receiver he is.

It’s unlikely the Tennessee Titans trade him, as they appear willing to negotiate a contract extension. However, if Brown demands out like Samuel did, they might not have a choice. Brown would be an elite, physical weapon for LaFleur, Aaron Rodgers and this offense and would shine even brighter.
