Prediction No. 6: George Pickens or Alec Pierce will be Green Bay Packers

When it comes to boxes that the Green Bay Packers want to check at the wide receiver position, both George Pickens and Alec Pierce check pretty much all of them.

For starters, we know that the Packers typically covet big-bodied receivers–meaning they are over 6’0″ and weigh at least 190 pounds. Pickens measured in at 6’3″ – 195 pounds while Pierce is 6’3″ – 211 pounds. When it comes to some of the other higher-profile receivers, such as Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, and Garrett Wilson, for example, they are all a bit on the smaller side.

Both are also very good athletes, again, something that is very important to Brian Gutekunst. Pickens scored 9.33 out of 10.0 on the RAS scale, with Pierce logging a score of 9.8. And each can be moved around the formation–which we know is important to Matt LaFleur.

But on top of their abilities as pas-catchers, both Pickens and Peirce are physical and willing blockers as well–again, just another box to check. Compared to the rest of the receivers in the draft, these two just feel like Green Bay Packers players more so than any of the others.
